Hammond 1583T12B1BKXRA 15A 12-Outlet 1U Rack PDU, Rotated 5-15R

The 1583T12B1BKXRA is a basic 1U horizontal rack mount PDU (outlet strip) from the 1583 Series, rated 15 A single-phase 125 V, with twelve NEMA 5-15R receptacles split six on the front and six on the rear of the panel. It is intended for IT, AV, broadcast and industrial cabinets where equipment needs to be fed from both sides of a 19-inch rack, and for OEM and facilities teams standardising on a straightforward, unswitched power strip with a power indicator light rather than an on/off rocker switch.

Outlets on this version are rotated, giving extra spacing between receptacles for clearance of most plug-in transformers and oversized wall-wart style supplies. A resettable 15 A, 125 VAC circuit breaker is built in to guard against accidental overload, and a red power indicator (pilot light) shows that the strip is live. The panel is finished in RAL9005 black powder coat, which complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality.

Power is supplied by a 15 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges, terminated in an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug. The unit measures 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, occupying one rack unit in a standard 19-inch rack, and ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
