Hammond 1583T12A1BKXRA 1U 12-Outlet Rotated PDU, 15A Pilot Light

The 1583T12A1BKXRA is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU rated 15A, built for IT, AV, broadcast and industrial racks that need power at both the front and the rear of the enclosure. It provides twelve NEMA 5-15R outlets split evenly, with six facing the front and six facing the rear, and terminates in a 6 ft cord with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug.

This version uses rotated outlets, which add extra spacing so most plug-in transformers and oversized wall packs can be seated without blocking neighbouring receptacles. Instead of a rocker switch, the 1583T12A1BKXRA carries a red power indicator (pilot) light, plus a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker to guard against accidental overload. The cord is heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type, suited to extreme temperature ranges.

Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with the drawing showing 482.60 mm [19.000 in] width, 43.64 mm [1.718 in] height and 67.58 mm [2.661 in] depth, and mounting-flange centres at 444.50 mm [17.500 in]. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

The unit is finished in black powder coat and complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality.
