Hammond 1583H8D1BKV 1U 8-Outlet 15A PDU, Shielded Locking Cord

The 1583H8D1BKV is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (power distribution outlet strip) with eight rear-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 A at 120 VAC (drawing rating: 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps). It is designed for power distribution from the rear of the unit, making it suited to IT, AV and industrial racks where equipment cords terminate at the back of the enclosure.

Front and back panels are black painted steel, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a shipping weight of 4.5 lbs (2.04 kg). Drawing dimensions confirm 482.60 mm [19.000 in] width, 43.64 mm [1.718 in] height and 67.58 mm [2.661 in] depth, with mounting slot centres at 444.50 mm [17.500 in].

An illuminated on/off rocker power switch and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker are built in to guard against accidental overload. The 15 ft cord is heavy-duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT type with an integral moulded plug; on 1583H8D1BKV the cord is shielded with 100% aluminum mylar foil coverage and a 20 gauge drain wire to reduce EMI/RFI and "dirty" power from utilities.
