Hammond 1583T6B1 1U 6-Outlet Rack PDU, 15A Gray, 15 ft Cord

The 1583T6B1 is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) with six NEMA 5-15R receptacles, all facing the rear of the unit. It is intended for IT, AV and OEM installations where equipment is powered from behind the rack, and where a simple, hard-rated 15A single-phase 125 VAC power feed is preferred over a managed or switched PDU. This version uses a red power indicator (pilot) light rather than an illuminated on/off rocker switch, so the strip stays live whenever the cord is energized.

Construction is painted steel finished in ASA 61 gray powder coat, front and back, per the part drawing. The finish complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, so the unit occupies a single rack unit in a standard 19-inch rack, cabinet or relay rack. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).

Power comes in through a heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges, 15 ft long, with an integral moulded straight-blade NEMA 5-15P plug. A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker is built in to guard against accidental overload.
