Hammond 1582T8C1 1U 8-Outlet 15A PDU, L5-15P Locking Cord

The 1582T8C1 is a 1U horizontal rack mount basic PDU for 19" racks and cabinets, giving IT, AV and industrial installers eight front-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets from a single rack space. It is rated 15 Amps at 125 VAC, 60 Hz (listed as 120 VAC rated voltage on the part data) and terminates in a 6 ft NEMA L5-15P locking power cord, so the supply connection cannot be pulled loose in a busy rack. This version uses a red power indicator light rather than an on/off rocker switch, so connected loads stay live and are simply monitored at a glance.

Construction is painted steel, front and back finished in ASA 61 grey powder coat, which complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.718 in (43.64 mm) high, 19.000 in (482.60 mm) wide and 2.661 in (67.58 mm) deep, with the 17.500 in mounting pattern for standard 19" rack rails. Shipping weight is 3.6 lbs (1.63 kg).

A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker is built in to guard against accidental overload. The cord is heavy-duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded plug. Outlets are all on the front face (8 front, 0 rear); this model has non-rotated outlets, is not surge protected, not metered, and is not hospital grade.
