Hammond 1582T8B1 1U 15A Horizontal PDU, 8 Front 5-15R Outlets

The 1582T8B1 is a 1U horizontal rack mount basic power distribution unit from the Hammond 1582 series, built for 19" rack and cabinet installations where power must be distributed from the front of the unit. It carries eight NEMA 5-15R outlets on the front face (none on the rear), is rated 15 A at 120 VAC, and suits IT racks, AV equipment racks, network closets and OEM assemblies that need straightforward, unswitched outlet capacity in a single rack unit.

This version uses a red illuminated power indicator light rather than an on/off rocker switch, so connected loads stay live whenever the PDU is plugged in. An integral 15 Amp, 125 VAC resettable circuit breaker guards against accidental overload. Power is supplied by a 15 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges, terminated in an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug.

The chassis is steel finished in ASA 61 grey powder coat on the front and back, a finish that complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with the drawing showing 43.64 mm [1.718 in] high, 482.60 mm [19.000 in] wide and 67.58 mm [2.661 in] deep. Shipping weight is 4.25 lbs (1.93 kg).

1582T8B1 is UL Recognized to UL1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99), with the series also listed to CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 and No. 0.4-04 under UL file E166039. It is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America. This unit is not surge protected, not metered, not hospital grade, and does not use rotated outlets or a shielded cord.
