Hammond 1582T8A1BK 1U 8-Outlet 15A Rack PDU With Indicator Light

The 1582T8A1BK is a 1U horizontal rack mount basic PDU for 19" racks and cabinets, giving IT, AV, broadcast and OEM installations eight NEMA 5-15R outlets across the front of the panel. It is rated 15A at 125 VAC, 60 Hz (listed as 120 VAC rated voltage on the part data), and carries a red illuminated power indicator light rather than an on/off switch, so connected loads stay live while the light confirms power is present.

Power comes in through a heavy-duty 14 gauge cord - 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges - with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug on a 6 ft lead. A 15 Amp, 125 VAC resettable circuit breaker is built in to prevent accidental overload. All eight outlets face the front of the unit (0 rear outlets), and the outlets are not rotated on this model.

Construction is painted steel, front and back, in a textured black finish; the series powder coat complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 19.00 in (482.60 mm) wide including the rack flanges, 1.718 in (43.64 mm) high for a single rack unit, and 2.661 in (67.58 mm) deep, with a shipping weight of 4.25 lbs (1.93 kg).

The 1582T8A1BK mounts horizontally in a standard 19" EIA rack opening in 1U of space. It is UL Recognized to Standard UL1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) under UL file E166039, is cRUus and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant.
