Hammond 1582H8A1BK 1U 8-Outlet 15A Rack PDU, Black Steel

The 1582H8A1BK is a 1U horizontal 19" rack mount basic PDU with eight front-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 A at 125 VAC, 60 Hz. It is built for IT, AV and broadcast racks, equipment cabinets and workbench-side enclosures where switches, media converters, amplifiers and other appliances need convenient, front-accessible power distribution from a single 15 A branch circuit.

Construction is painted steel, black on both the front panel and the back, finished in a black powder coat that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. All eight outlets are on the front (none at the rear) and are not rotated, keeping the unit shallow at 2.66 in (68 mm) deep. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide, and shipping weight is 3.45 lbs (1.56 kg).

Power comes in through an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug on a heavy-duty 6 ft, 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord suited to extreme temperature ranges. A lighted on/off rocker switch controls the strip, and a resettable 15 A, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload. This version of the 1582 series has no surge protection, no local amp metering and no shielded cord.

The 1582H8A1BK mounts horizontally in a standard 19" rack in 1U of space. It is CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 21-95 and No. 42-99 and UL Recognized to UL1363 (UL file E166039), is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and is manufactured in North America.
