Hammond 1557HA2GY 200 x 70 mm Gray Polycarbonate Watertight Enclosure

The 1557HA2GY is the light gray (RAL7035) polycarbonate version of the 1557HA enclosure, measuring 200 mm x 200 mm x 70 mm (7.87 in x 7.87 in x 2.76 in). Its neutral gray finish suits panel shops, facilities teams and OEMs that want a watertight electronics box that blends into industrial and building settings, inside or outside.

Molded from UV stabilized polycarbonate, it is cUL and UL 508A listed under file #E65324 and independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68, with NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 ratings. Impact resistance is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021 and the recommended operating range is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F). The lid uses two piece tongue and groove construction with a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, held by four M4 stainless steel screws in corrosion resistant bushings.

Usable space inside is 191.02 mm x 191.02 mm with 63.80 mm (2.51 in) of height, and PC boards up to 187 mm x 187 mm fit on internal bosses that accept #6 self-tapping screws. The part ships at 1.18 lbs (0.54 kg) in shrink wrap.

The 1557HA2GY includes the box, lid, four cover screws, preformed silicone gasket, four rubber feet, four wall mount feet and four wall mount foot screws. Use it on a tabletop, as a heavy duty wall flange mount, or flush on a wall with the feet acting as keyhole slots.
