Hammond 1557H2BK 200mm Square, 45mm Tall Black Polycarbonate Enclosure

The 1557H2BK is a black polycarbonate watertight enclosure measuring 7.87 in x 7.87 in x 1.77 in (200 mm x 200 mm x 45 mm), the largest footprint in the 1557 Series. It gives OEM and field engineers a wide, low-profile sealed housing for P.C. boards up to 187 mm x 187 mm.

As a polycarbonate model, the 1557H2BK is UV stabilized for outdoor use, cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and rated IK08 per IEC 62262:2021. The part page lists IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 with a UL94 V-0 flame rating, and polycarbonate versions have a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

The inside cavity is 191.02 mm [7.52 in] long and wide with 38.80 mm [1.53 in] of height, and board mounting bosses accept #6 self-tapping screws. A two piece tongue and groove lid and one piece high temperature silicone gasket seal the box against oil, dust and water, while four stainless steel M4-0.7 x 20 mm screws in corrosion resistant inserts allow repeated access at 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m).

The 1557H2BK is supplied with lid, 4 cover screws, preformed gasket, 4 rubber feet, 4 wall mount feet and 4 wall mount foot screws. It works as a tabletop unit, flush wall mount or heavy duty wall flange mount, and pole mount kits PMB110127KIT3 (7 in max) and PMB110127KIT4 (15 in max) fit the 1557H profile.
