The 1557H2GY is a light gray (RAL7035 grey) polycarbonate watertight enclosure, 7.87 in x 7.87 in x 1.77 in (200 mm x 200 mm x 45 mm). Its wide, shallow shape suits larger circuit boards, up to 187 mm x 187 mm, and control electronics that must live outdoors or in wet, dusty locations.

The lid is built with two piece tongue and groove construction and a one piece high temperature silicone gasket, fastened by stainless steel M4-0.7 x 20 mm cover screws into corrosion resistant inserts. Recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m). Board mounting bosses accept #6 self-tapping screws, and the 1557HPL aluminum inner panel is available as an accessory.
Included with the 1557H2GY are the lid, 4 cover screws, silicone gasket, 4 rubber feet, 4 wall mount feet and 4 wall mount foot screws. It can sit on a tabletop, mount flush or heavy duty on a wall, or go on a pole with PMB110127KIT3 or PMB110127KIT4. It ships shrink wrapped at 0.99 lbs (0.45 kg).
