Hammond 1557HA2BK 200 x 70 mm Black Polycarbonate Watertight Enclosure

The 1557HA2BK is a black polycarbonate watertight enclosure measuring 200 mm x 200 mm x 70 mm (7.87 in x 7.87 in x 2.76 in). It is the taller HA profile of the 1557 Series and is built for OEM engineers, controls builders and integrators who need to house printed circuit boards or small electronics where water, dust and oil are a concern, indoors or out.

The box and lid are molded from UV stabilized polycarbonate, cUL and UL 508A listed under file #E65324. It has been tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and carries NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 ratings, plus an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. A two piece tongue and groove lid seals against a one piece, high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, and four M4 stainless steel cover screws thread into corrosion resistant bushings so the lid can be opened and closed repeatedly.

Inside, the enclosure offers 191.02 mm x 191.02 mm of floor space and 63.80 mm (2.51 in) of inside height, taking PC boards up to 187 mm x 187 mm on bosses that accept #6 self-tapping screws. The recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

Every 1557HA2BK ships with the box, lid, four cover screws, a preformed silicone gasket, four rubber feet, four wall mount feet and four wall mount foot screws, so it can sit on a desktop, bolt up as a heavy duty wall flange mount, or hang flush using the feet as keyhole slots. Pole mount kits PMB110127KIT3 and PMB110127KIT4, an aluminum inner panel (1557HPL) and a replacement gasket 2-pack (1557HGASKET) are available separately.
