Hammond 1555W2F17GY 181x180x40mm Polycarbonate Flanged NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1555W2F17GY is a UV stabilized polycarbonate enclosure with mounting flanges, sized 7.13 in x 7.09 in x 1.57 in (181 mm x 180 mm x 40 mm) not including flanges. It is made for harsh industrial or outdoor applications such as security, outdoor wireless and controls, where a shallow, nearly square housing is needed for boards, panels or DIN rail components.

Polycarbonate versions of the 1555F series are cUL and UL 508A listed under file #E65324 and have been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. Grey polycarbonate carries a UL94-5VA rating, the impact rating is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, and the recommended operating range is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F); customers should test suitability for their application.

Dimensionally, the flanged length is 220.00 mm [8.66 in], the drawing height 40.20 mm [1.58 in], the inner box depth 17.00 mm [.67 in] and the inner lid depth 14.80 mm [.58 in]. The lid inlay measures 147.00 x 174.00 mm, 2.00 mm deep, for a membrane keypad or label.

The gasketed tongue and groove lid uses a one-piece silicone gasket shipped loose, and four included M4 stainless steel cover screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts; the drawing recommends 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Standoffs take #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws, DIN rail tabs are molded into the lid, and the 1554WPL steel inner panel is sold separately. The ABS equivalent is 1555WF17GY.
