Hammond 1555W2F42GY 181x180x65mm Deep Polycarbonate NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1555W2F42GY is the deep polycarbonate member of the 1555WF size, measuring 7.13 in x 7.09 in x 2.56 in (181 mm x 180 mm x 65 mm) not including flanges. Installers of outdoor wireless, security and control electronics use it when components need more height than the 40 mm model provides.

The drawing shows an assembled height of 65.20 mm [2.57 in], an inner box depth of 42.00 mm [1.65 in], an inner lid depth of 14.80 mm [.58 in] and a flanged length of 220.00 mm [8.66 in]. The lid has a 147.00 x 174.00 mm recessed inlay, 2.00 mm deep, suited to a membrane keypad or label.

As a polycarbonate version it is UV stabilized for outdoor use, cUL and UL 508A listed under file #E65324, and independently tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 plus NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The material rating is UL94-5VA, impact rating IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, and recommended operating temperature -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

Sealing uses a two-piece tongue and groove lid with a one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose; four M4 stainless steel cover screws run into corrosion resistant inserts at a recommended 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Inside, standoffs accept #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws, the lid has molded DIN rail tabs, and the 1554WPL steel inner panel is available separately. Its ABS counterpart is 1555WF42GY.
