The 1555VA2F42GY is the deeper polycarbonate enclosure in the VA size of the 1555F Series. Its wide flanged base and 62 mm height make it a fit for outdoor wireless, security and control equipment where DIN rail devices or populated circuit boards need both area and depth.
The series table lists 9.45 x 6.34 x 2.44 in (240 x 161 x 62 mm) not including flanges, and the part page gives 9.45 x 6.3 x 2.44 in (240 x 160 x 62 mm). The drawing shows 280.00 mm [11.02 in] overall length with flanges, 258.00 mm [10.16 in] flange hole spacing, 62.20 mm [2.45 in] assembled height, 42.00 mm [1.65 in] inner box depth, 11.80 mm [.46 in] inner lid depth and a 208.00 x 152.00 mm [8.19 x 5.98 in] lid inlay.
Polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized for outdoor use, gray polycarbonate carries UL94-5VA, and the series is cUL and UL 508A listed under file #E65324. They have been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, carry IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021, and are recommended for -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The satin RAL7035 grey lid uses a tongue and groove seal with a one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose, secured by 6 cover screws per the drawing at a recommended 60-100 cN-m [5.31-8.85 lbf-in]. Molded DIN rail tabs and standoffs for #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws support the separately sold 1554VAPL steel inner panel. The 1555VA2F42GY ships at 1.19 lbs (0.54 kg).
