The 1555VGY is a general purpose ABS enclosure on the 240 x 160 mm footprint with a total height of 91 mm (3.58 in), finished in light gray RAL 7035. Unlike the six-screw VA sizes, this regular enclosure closes with four M4 stainless steel cover screws, making it a straightforward indoor housing for PC boards and DIN rail mounted parts.
Its gasketed, tongue and groove lid seals on a replaceable one piece silicone gasket supplied loose inside. The screws are self captivating, thread into corrosion resistant inserts, and should be tightened to 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). The drawing shows an overall height of 90.50 mm.
Inside dimensions are 232.26 mm long, 148.26 mm wide and 81.50 mm high, and the part accepts P.C. boards up to 146.74 x 231.47 mm. Mounting options include molded DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts, #6 self tapping screw standoffs and card guides for 1.5 mm boards. Accessories specific to this size include the 1554VPL steel inner panel, the 1554VGASKET replacement gasket and the 1554VCL clear lid.
The 1555VGY is IP66 tested, rated IK07 per IEC 62262:2021, molded from UL94-HB ABS and recommended for indoor use from -20°C to +60°C; it is not UL listed. Four 4.57 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also fit the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight is 1.1 lbs (0.50 kg).
