The 1555VALGY is the low-profile member of the 240 x 160 mm footprint in the 1555 Series: a light gray (RAL 7035) general purpose ABS enclosure only 60 mm (2.36 in) tall. It is aimed at designers housing flat PC board assemblies or a short row of DIN rail components indoors where depth is limited.
The purchased assembly includes the box, a styled lid, six cover screws and a preformed silicone gasket. The styled lid gives a smooth, recessed surface for a membrane keypad or label. Tongue and groove lid construction with the replaceable one piece silicone gasket protects against oil, dust and water, and the M4 stainless steel screws are self captivating, threading into corrosion resistant inserts at a recommended 85 - 92 ozf-in (60-65 cN-m).
Inside dimensions are 232.35 mm long, 152.35 mm wide and 50.80 mm high. Molded DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts, #6 self tapping screw standoffs and card guides for 1.5 mm boards give several mounting options, with a maximum P.C. board size of 145.5 x 226.82 mm. The 1554VAPL steel inner panel is sold separately.
As an ABS model, the 1555VALGY is for indoor use: IP66 tested, IK07 impact rated, UL94-HB material, not UL listed, with a recommended operating range of -20°C to +60°C. Shipping weight is 1.01 lbs (0.46 kg). Choose 1555VAL2GY for the UL listed polycarbonate version.
