The 1555U2GY is the deep 200 x 120 mm polycarbonate enclosure in the 1555 Series, at 91 mm (3.58 in) of total height and finished in light gray RAL 7035. Its long footprint suits a full-length DIN rail row or an elongated circuit board, making it a useful choice for outdoor controllers, communications gear and instrumentation.
Polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized for outdoor use and are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. The series has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13; this part is listed IP68. It is rated UL94 5VA, IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, and -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The drawing gives inside dimensions of 192.13 x 108.13 mm with 82.00 mm of height, and the maximum board size is 106.6 x 190.45 mm. M3 brass inserts and #6 self tapping screw standoffs support boards or the separately sold 1554UPL steel inner panel, and DIN rail tabs and 1.5 mm vertical card guides are molded in.
Four included M4 stainless steel screws, self captivating and threaded into corrosion resistant inserts, close the tongue and groove lid on a replaceable silicone gasket that ships loose; the recommended torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.00 mm mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit.
