Hammond 1555QA2GY 140x140x90mm Deep Polycarbonate NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1555QA2GY is the deep 140 mm square polycarbonate enclosure, measuring 5.51 in x 5.51 in x 3.54 in (140 mm x 140 mm x 90 mm). It gives panel builders and OEM designers the headroom for taller DIN rail devices, stacked boards or wiring in a sealed box that can go outdoors.

Its light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate is UV stabilized and rated UL94-5VA. Polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, and this part lists IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13, with an IK08 impact rating and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C. A two-piece tongue and groove lid and a one-piece replaceable silicone gasket, supplied loose, seal out oil, dust and water.

According to the drawing, the interior is 131.32 mm long, 128.38 mm wide and 81.20 mm high. Boards up to 127 mm x 127.5 mm are listed. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, #6 self-tapping standoffs and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards are molded in, and the lid carries its own #6 standoffs. The 1554QPL galvanized steel inner panel is ordered separately.

Four M4 stainless steel lid screws are included, self-captivating and threading into corrosion resistant inserts, with a recommended torque of 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.30 mm holes outside the gasket channel support wall mounting or the 1554FT foot kit. The general purpose ABS version of 1555QA2GY is 1555QAGY.
