Hammond 1555QGY 140x140x60mm Gray ABS Watertight Enclosure

The 1555QGY is a 140 mm square general purpose ABS enclosure measuring 5.51 in x 5.51 in x 2.36 in (140 mm x 140 mm x 60 mm). It is a practical choice for indoor PC board or DIN rail builds that need a larger footprint at a 60 mm height.

Molded in light gray RAL 7035 ABS with a UL94-HB rating, it has been tested to and meets IP66 and carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021; ABS versions are not UL listed. The gray lid seals on a two-piece tongue and groove joint with a one-piece, replaceable high temperature silicone gasket, supplied loose inside the enclosure, against oil, dust and water.

The drawing shows interior dimensions of 132.36 mm long, 128.69 mm wide and 51.20 mm high; the maximum listed P.C. board is 127 mm x 127.5 mm. Mounting provisions include molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards, plus molded #6 standoffs in the lid. The 1554QPL galvanized steel inner panel is sold separately.

Four M4 stainless steel lid screws are included; they are self-captivating, thread into corrosion resistant inserts and have a recommended torque of 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.30 mm wall-mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit. Operate 1555QGY indoors at -20°C to +60°C, or specify polycarbonate 1555Q2GY for outdoor or UL listed use.
