Hammond 1555R2GY 160x160x61mm Polycarbonate NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1555R2GY is a 160 mm square polycarbonate enclosure; the ordering table lists 6.30 in x 6.30 in x 2.40 in (160 mm x 160 mm x 61 mm). It is designed for control builders, electricians and OEM teams that need a wide, sealed housing for PC boards, DIN rail devices or wiring in indoor or outdoor locations.

The light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate is UV stabilized for outdoor use and rated UL94-5VA. Polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, and this part lists IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13, along with an IK08 impact rating and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C. The lid seals on a two-piece tongue and groove joint with a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose.

Interior dimensions from the drawing are 152.91 mm long, 148.91 mm wide and 51.50 mm high, and the maximum listed P.C. board size is 147.4 mm x 150.95 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, #6 self-tapping standoffs and 1.5 mm card guides are built in. The 1554RPL galvanized steel inner panel, ordered separately, fits in the box or the lid.

Four M4 stainless steel lid screws are included; they are self-captivating and thread into corrosion resistant inserts, with a recommended torque of 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.00 mm wall-mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The ABS version of 1555R2GY is 1555RGY.
