Hammond 1555EGY 90x90x61mm ABS Square Watertight Enclosure, IP66

The 1555EGY is a square general purpose ABS enclosure, 90 x 90 x 61 mm nominal (3.5 x 3.5 x 2.4 in, or 89 x 89 x 61 mm, on the part page). It gives panel builders and electronics designers a gasketed indoor housing that can take either DIN rail components or a circuit board.

Inside, size E has molded DIN rail mounting tabs along with threaded M3 integral brass inserts and/or standoffs for #6 self tapping screws, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm thick P.C. boards, and lid standoffs. The maximum board size is 77.47 x 78.41 mm, and the 1554EPL steel inner panel (ordered separately) fits in the box or the lid.

ABS versions are molded from UL94-HB general purpose material, tested to and meet IP66, and carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. They are for indoor use with a recommended range of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F) and are not UL listed. The polycarbonate version, 1555E2GY, adds UL 508A listing and outdoor UV stability.

The light gray RAL 7035 styled lid uses tongue and groove construction and a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose. Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts at a recommended 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4.00 mm mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and accept the 1554FT foot kit. The 1555EGY ships shrink wrapped at 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg).
