Hammond 1555E2GY 90x90x61mm Polycarbonate NEMA 4X Enclosure, IP68

The 1555E2GY is a square polycarbonate enclosure in the 1555 Series, 90 x 90 x 61 mm nominal (the part page lists 3.5 x 3.5 x 2.4 in, or 89 x 89 x 61 mm). It is a versatile size for integrators and OEM engineers who want DIN rail and circuit board mounting options in an outdoor-capable, UL 508A listed box.

Polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and have been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 plus NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The UV stabilized material carries a UL94-5VA rating and an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021, with a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

Size E combines both internal mounting systems: molded DIN rail mounting tabs, plus threaded M3 integral brass inserts and/or standoffs for #6 self tapping screws, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm thick P.C. boards, and standoffs in the lid. It accepts a board up to 77.47 x 78.41 mm. The optional 1554EPL steel inner panel fits in the box or the lid.

The styled light gray RAL 7035 lid seals with a tongue and groove joint and a one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose, held by four included M4 stainless steel self captivating screws into corrosion resistant inserts (43-57 ozf-in, 30-40 cN-m). Four 4.00 mm mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554ECL clear lid and 1554EGASKET gasket are available. It ships shrink wrapped at 0.32 lbs (0.15 kg).
