Hammond 1555DGY 120x65x61mm ABS Watertight Enclosure, IP66

The 1555DGY is the taller ABS companion to size C: the same 120 x 65 mm footprint with a 61 mm total height (nominal 4.72 x 2.56 x 2.40 in; the part page lists 4.7 x 2.6 x 2.4 in, or 119 x 66 x 61 mm). It gives electronics designers extra headroom for components on a long, narrow board in an indoor gasketed box.

It is molded from general purpose ABS rated UL94-HB. ABS versions are tested to and meet IP66, carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021, are recommended for -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F), and are intended for indoor use. They are not UL listed; the polycarbonate 1555D2GY is the UL 508A listed option.

For board mounting, the interior has threaded M3 integral brass inserts and/or standoffs for #6 self tapping screws, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm thick P.C. boards, and standoffs molded in the lid. The 1555DGY holds a board up to 52.83 x 110.49 mm. Size D has no internal DIN rail mounting tabs. The 1554CPL steel inner panel, sold separately, fits in the box or the lid.

The light gray RAL 7035 styled lid seals with tongue and groove construction over a one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose, secured by four included self captivating M4 stainless steel screws (recommended 43-57 ozf-in, 30-40 cN-m). Two 4.00 mm mounting holes outside the gasket channel take wall screws or the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight is 0.3 lbs (0.14 kg).
