Hammond 1554YA2GY 300x240x120mm Deep Polycarbonate NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1554YA2GY is the taller 120 mm version of the 1554Y polycarbonate enclosure, measuring 300 x 240 x 120 mm (11.81 x 9.45 x 4.72 in) with a solid gray lid. The drawing gives 111.75 mm (4.40 in) of inside height, compared with 86.80 mm in the 95 mm 1554Y2GY. That extra depth suits tall components, terminal blocks or stacked PC boards, so it fits panel builders and OEMs housing control electronics outdoors.

Solid gray polycarbonate carries a UL94-5VA rating and is UV stabilized for outdoor use. The enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. It has an IK08 impact rating (IEC 62262:2021) and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

The flat lid closes on a two-piece tongue and groove joint and a replaceable one-piece gasket of high temperature UL listed silicone, which ships loose inside the enclosure. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts, torqued to 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m).

Boards up to 285 x 225 mm fit inside. The drawing shows 4 M3 brass inserts and 10 bosses for #8 self-tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5mm boards and DIN rail tabs are molded in. This size shares the 1554YPL steel inner panel and 1554YGASKET replacement gasket with the 1554Y, and the 1554FT-XY foot kit mounts through the external wall-mounting holes. Shipping weight is 3.25 lbs (1.47 kg).
