Hammond 1554Y2GYCL 300x240x95mm Clear Lid Polycarbonate NEMA Enclosure

The 1554Y2GYCL pairs a light gray polycarbonate box with a clear polycarbonate lid in a 300 x 240 x 95 mm (11.81 x 9.45 x 3.74 in) footprint. The see-through lid lets technicians read displays, indicator LEDs or meters without opening the enclosure, which makes it a practical choice for integrators and OEMs housing monitoring electronics outdoors or in wet locations.

The box is UV stabilized polycarbonate with a UL94-5VA rating, and the clear lid carries a UL94V-0 rating. Polycarbonate versions have been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and to NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, carries an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and has a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

Sealing comes from two-piece tongue and groove construction and a replaceable one-piece gasket of high temperature UL listed silicone, supplied loose inside the enclosure. The lid is held by six self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws threaded into corrosion resistant inserts, with a recommended torque of 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m).

Maximum board size is 285 x 225 mm. Four M3 brass inserts and ten #8 self-tapping screw bosses support boards or the optional 1554YPL steel inner panel, and card guides for 1.5mm boards plus DIN rail tabs are molded in. The wall-mounting holes are outside the gasket channel and also accept the 1554FT-XY foot kit. The 1554Y2GYCL ships shrink wrapped at 2.81 lbs (1.27 kg).
