The 1554Y2GY is a 300 x 240 x 95 mm (11.81 x 9.45 x 3.74 in) polycarbonate enclosure with a solid gray lid, built for electronics and controls that have to live outdoors or in washdown areas. It suits control panel shops, OEM engineers and field installers who need a UL 508A listed box for printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components.
The polycarbonate is UV stabilized for outdoor use, and the solid gray material carries a UL94-5VA flame rating. Independent testing puts this version at IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, and it carries an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. It is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, with a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The flat lid seals with two-piece tongue and groove construction and a replaceable one-piece gasket of high temperature UL listed silicone, supplied loose so it can be fitted after any machining. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts; tighten them to 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m).
Inside, the 1554Y2GY takes a PC board up to 285 x 225 mm. The drawing shows 4 M3 brass inserts, 10 bosses for #8 self-tapping screws and an inside length of 289.09 mm. Vertical card guides for 1.5mm boards and DIN rail tabs are molded in. Add the 1554YPL steel inner panel if you need a mounting plate, and use the 1554FT-XY foot kit through the wall-mounting holes, which sit outside the gasket channel. Shipping weight is 2.81 lbs (1.27 kg).
