The 1554YA2GYCL combines the deep 300 x 240 x 120 mm (11.81 x 9.45 x 4.72 in) 1554YA polycarbonate box with a clear polycarbonate lid. It gives you 111.75 mm (4.40 in) of inside height per the drawing and a lid you can see through, so meters, HMIs and indicator lights stay readable while the enclosure remains sealed. Integrators and OEMs building outdoor or washdown monitoring equipment will find it a good fit.
The light gray box is UV stabilized polycarbonate rated UL94-5VA; the clear lid is rated UL94V-0. Polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and were independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and to NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. Impact resistance is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, with a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The lid seals on two-piece tongue and groove construction with a one-piece, high temperature UL listed silicone gasket that is supplied loose. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m).
Maximum PC board size is 285 x 225 mm. Inside you get 4 M3 brass inserts, 10 bosses for #8 self-tapping screws, molded card guides for 1.5mm boards and DIN rail tabs, plus the option of a 1554YPL steel inner panel. Wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also take the 1554FT-XY foot kit. The 1554YA2GYCL weighs 3.25 lbs (1.47 kg) shipped.
