Hammond 1554YA2GYSL 300x240x120mm Smoked Lid Polycarbonate Enclosure

The 1554YA2GYSL is a 300 x 240 x 120 mm (11.81 x 9.45 x 4.72 in) polycarbonate enclosure with a smoked polycarbonate lid on a light gray RAL 7035 box. It is the deep YA size, with 111.75 mm (4.40 in) of inside height per the drawing, for OEMs and integrators who want a tinted cover over displays or status lights on outdoor or wet-location equipment.

The box polycarbonate is UV stabilized and rated UL94-5VA; the smoked lid is rated UL94V-0. The polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, and carry an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. The recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

The flat smoked lid closes on a two-piece tongue and groove seal with a one-piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, supplied loose so it can go in after cutouts are made. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts at a recommended 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m).

Maximum PC board size is 285 x 225 mm. The 1554YA2GYSL provides 4 M3 brass inserts, 10 bosses for #8 self-tapping screws, card guides for 1.5mm boards and DIN rail tabs. It shares the 1554YPL inner panel, 1554YGASKET gasket and SC583-50 cover screws with the rest of the Y and YA sizes, and fits the 1554FT-XY foot kit. Shipping weight is 3.25 lbs (1.47 kg).
