The 1554Y2GYSL is the smoked-lid version of the 300 x 240 x 95 mm 1554Y polycarbonate enclosure. A tinted polycarbonate lid on a light gray RAL 7035 box lets indicators and displays show through, and is for OEMs and system integrators who want a watertight, UL 508A listed housing for PC boards or DIN rail components.
The box is UV stabilized polycarbonate rated UL94-5VA, and the smoked lid is rated UL94V-0. The polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and have been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and to NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. Impact rating is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021, and the recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
A two-piece tongue and groove joint and a one-piece silicone gasket (high temperature, UL listed, supplied loose) seal the lid. Six self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws go into corrosion resistant inserts and should be torqued to 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m).
The enclosure accepts boards up to 285 x 225 mm. Mounting provisions shown on the drawing include 4 M3 brass inserts and 10 bosses for #8 self-tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5mm boards and DIN rail tabs are molded in. The 1554YPL steel inner panel and 1554FT-XY foot kit are available separately. The part page lists the size as 11.82 x 9.45 x 3.74 in (300 x 240 x 95 mm), and shipping weight is 2.81 lbs (1.27 kg).
