The 1554X2GYSL is a smoked-lid polycarbonate enclosure measuring 300 x 200 x 90 mm, part of the 1554 Series of screw-cover watertight housings. A light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate box carries a smoke-tinted polycarbonate lid, suited to OEM and field projects that mount PC boards or DIN rail components outdoors and want a darkened view of the contents.
The part page size reads 11.82 x 7.87 x 3.54 in (300 x 200 x 90 mm), and the ordering table lists 11.81 x 7.87 x 3.54 in. On the drawing the box is 299.33 x 199.55 x 89.80 mm overall, with an interior of 289.09 x 189.31 x 81.82 mm. It accepts PC boards up to 285 x 174 mm, mounted on four M3 brass inserts, ten #8 self-tapping screw positions, molded card guides for 1.5 mm boards or DIN rail tabs, with a 1554XPL inner panel available separately.
Six M4 stainless steel screws, self-captivating and threaded into corrosion resistant inserts, clamp the two piece tongue and groove lid onto a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose inside. Recommended torque is 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m); replacement screws are SC583-50.
Being polycarbonate, the 1554X2GYSL is UV stabilized for outdoor use, tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, IK08 impact rated and cUL and UL 508A listed (E65324). The part page lists UL94 5VA; series data rates smoked lids UL94V-0. Recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F). Wall mount through four 4.39 mm holes outside the gasket, or add the 1554FT-XY foot kit.
