1554X2GYCL combines a light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate box with a clear polycarbonate lid in the 300 x 200 x 90 mm size of the 1554 Series. The window-style cover lets technicians read meters, displays and indicator LEDs on PC boards or DIN rail mounted components without breaking the seal, in outdoor or wash-down locations.
The enclosure is 11.81 x 7.87 x 3.54 in (300 x 200 x 90 mm) nominal and 299.33 x 199.55 x 89.80 mm on the drawing. Usable interior space is 289.09 x 189.31 x 81.82 mm, with a maximum PC board of 285 x 174 mm.

The tongue and groove lid seals against oil, dust and water; tighten cover screws to 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m). Polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized, IP66/IP67/IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 rated, IK08 impact rated and cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. The 1554X2GYCL part page lists a UL94 5VA flame rating; the series data gives clear lids a UL94V-0 rating. Recommended operating range is -40°C to +110°C. Mount via four 4.39 mm wall holes or the 1554FT-XY foot kit.
