The 1554PB8 is an eight-hole pushbutton enclosure for 30.5 mm operators, sized for larger control stations that combine many pushbuttons, selector switches and pilot lights in one sealed housing. It is built on the 1554X body in the Type 4, 4X polycarbonate 1554 PB Series and serves panel builders, integrators and OEM engineers.
It is molded from polycarbonate with a UL94 5VA rating at 3 mm, suitable for outdoor use and finished in light gray RAL 7035. The lid is sealed by a replaceable, preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone rubber gasket and fastened with six self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws in integral stainless steel bushings. The drawing gives a recommended cover screw torque of 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m). Lid screws and mounting holes are outside the gasket seal.
The 1554PB8 measures 11.81 in (300 mm) high, 7.87 in (200 mm) wide and 3.54 in (90 mm) deep with the lid, with a shipping weight of 1.43 lbs (0.65 kg). The base includes DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs for M3.5 or #6 self tapping screws, and card guides for 1.5 mm PC boards. The optional 1554XPL galvanized steel inner panel measures 11.22 x 7.28 in; 1554FT mounting feet and SC544-100 #8 self tapping panel screws are listed as accessories.
It is rated IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, cULus listed under File E65324, UL 508A approved in polycarbonate, and RoHS and REACH compliant. This eight-hole size is offered with 30.5 mm holes only.
