Hammond 1486E48SS 8x8x48-Inch Type 4X Stainless Wiring Trough

The 1486E48SS is a four-foot, 8 in x 8 in Type 4X wiring trough in the 1486SS Series. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water while providing a measure of corrosion protection, giving integrators room for larger conductor counts along a machine or wall.

The trough is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams. A butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated screw clamps against permanently secured oil resistant gaskets. Its natural stainless steel trough and cover have a smooth brushed finish.

It measures 8 in x 8 in x 48 in (203 mm x 203 mm x 1,219 mm). The drawing shows a 46.73 in opening, a 48.38 in door and a 9.50 in side-view overall height. The shipping weight is 50 lbs (22.68 kg).

Twelve gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back, with 0.31 in holes spaced 8.69 in across and 46.75 in along the length on the drawing. It is listed to UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4, 4X and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, 4X under UL File E186830 and CSA Cert. LL21312, complies with NEMA Type 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
