Hammond 1486E12SS 8x8x12-Inch Type 4X Stainless Wiring Trough

The 1486E12SS is a compact 8 in x 8 in x 12 in Type 4X wiring trough, the shortest 8 x 8 size in the 1486SS Series. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water while providing a measure of corrosion protection, where a large cross-section is needed over only a foot of length.

Its body is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams. The butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated screw clamps, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. Both the trough and cover are natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish.

Dimensions are 8 in x 8 in x 12 in (203 mm x 203 mm x 305 mm), and the unit ships at 14 lbs (6.35 kg). Twelve gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back for surface mounting.
