Hammond 1486D72SS 6x6x72-Inch Type 4X Stainless Wiring Trough

The 1486D72SS is the 72 in length of the 6 in x 6 in Type 4X wiring troughs, the longest 6 x 6 size in the 1486SS Series. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water while providing a measure of corrosion protection across a six-foot span.

The body is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams. A butt hinged cover runs the length of the trough and is secured with easily operated screw clamps; oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. Finish is natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed surface on trough and cover.

Nominal size is 6 in x 6 in x 72 in (152 mm x 152 mm x 1,829 mm). The drawing shows a 70.73 in opening, a 72.38 in door and a 7.50 in side-view overall height. Shipping weight is 55 lbs (24.95 kg).

It mounts on 12 gauge external feet welded to the back, with 0.31 in holes spaced 6.69 in across on the drawing. It is listed to UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4, 4X and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, 4X under UL File E186830 and CSA Cert. LL21312, complies with NEMA Type 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
