Hammond 1486G24SS 12x12x24-Inch Type 4X Stainless Wiring Trough

With a 12 in x 12 in cross-section, the 1486G24SS is from the largest size class in the 1486SS Series of Type 4X wiring troughs, here in a 24 in length. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water while providing a measure of corrosion protection, where many conductors meet in a short span.

The body is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams. A butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated screw clamps, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. The trough and cover are natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish.

Dimensions are 12 in x 12 in x 24 in (305 mm x 305 mm x 610 mm). The drawing shows a 22.73 in opening, a 24.38 in door and a 13.50 in side-view overall height. It ships at 33 lbs (14.97 kg).

Twelve gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back, with 0.31 in holes spaced 12.75 in across and 22.75 in along the length on the drawing. Approvals are UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4, 4X and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, 4X (UL File E186830, CSA Cert. LL21312). The trough complies with NEMA Type 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP66 and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
