Hammond 1486E60SS 8x8x60-Inch Stainless Type 4X Wiring Trough

The 1486E60SS is the 60 in length of the 8 in x 8 in Type 4X wiring troughs and the longest 8 x 8 size in the 1486SS Series. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water while providing a measure of corrosion protection over a five-foot run.

The trough is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel with smooth continuously welded seams. The butt hinged cover is secured with easily operated screw clamps, and oil resistant gaskets are permanently secured. Trough and cover are natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish.

Nominal size is 8 in x 8 in x 60 in (203 mm x 203 mm x 1,524 mm). The drawing shows a 58.73 in opening, a 60.38 in door and a 9.50 in side-view overall height. Shipping weight is 60 lbs (27.22 kg).

It mounts on 12 gauge external feet welded to the back; the drawing shows 0.31 in holes spaced 8.75 in across and 29.38 in along the length. Approvals are UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4, 4X and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, 4X (UL File E186830, CSA Cert. LL21312). The trough complies with NEMA Type 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP66 and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
