Hammond 1435MS 16-Hole 22.5mm Type 12 Steel Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MS is the largest 22.5mm model in the 1435 Series of Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosures, with sixteen holes for standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. With a 10.75 in wide face, it serves control designers and panel builders who need a full operator station of sixteen controls and indicators in a single enclosure.

The body is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, and cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. An internally hinged removable cover is designed to hold the cover open during wiring. Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the joint, and a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud on the enclosure support proper earthing.

Enclosure dimensions are 11.75 in x 10.75 in x 3.00 in (298 mm x 273 mm x 76 mm). The drawing details 0.89 in pushbutton holes at a typical 2.25 in spacing, a 9.17 in x 10.62 in door opening, and welded mounting brackets with 0.25 in holes on 12.25 in x 9.88 in centres, for an overall height of 12.75 in.

The 1435 Series is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 listed (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54, protecting against dirt, dust, oil and water. Appropriate components are required to maintain these standards. The 1435MS is RoHS and REACH compliant, weighs 9 lbs (4.08 kg) shipped, and is packaged in a box.
