Hammond 1435MK 9-Hole 22.5mm Hinged Steel Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MK is a nine-hole pushbutton enclosure for 22.5mm operators in the 1435 Series of Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosures. It accepts standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights, and its 8.50 in width gives a broad face for nine controls. It is well matched to OEM machine builders and plant engineers who need a multi-function operator station in one box.

The enclosure is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. The 1435MK has an internally hinged removable cover, designed to hold the cover open during wiring, secured by captive cover screws that thread into sealed wells. An oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover, and bonding and grounding studs are fitted to the door and enclosure respectively.

The 1435MK measures 9.50 in x 8.50 in x 3.00 in (241 mm x 216 mm x 76 mm). On the drawing, the 0.89 in holes sit at a typical 2.25 in spacing and the door opening is 6.92 in x 8.37 in. Welded brackets provide for mounting, using 0.25 in holes on 10.00 in x 7.63 in centres, for an overall height of 10.50 in.

Listings cover UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), and the enclosure complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 for protection from dirt, dust, oil and water, when appropriate components are used. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 7 lbs (3.18 kg).
