Hammond 1435MF 4-Hole 22.5mm Hinged Steel Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MF is a four-hole pushbutton enclosure for 22.5mm operators in the 1435 Series of Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosures. Unlike the tall, narrow single-column models, this size uses a wider 6.25 in body, giving more face area for four standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. It suits panel builders and maintenance teams building local control stations on machinery and process equipment.

Construction is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, finished inside and out with a phosphatized ANSI 61 gray powder coating. The 1435MF is one of the larger series sizes that provide an internally hinged, removable cover designed to hold the cover open during wiring. Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover, and bonding and grounding studs are provided on the door and enclosure.

Nominal dimensions are 7.25 in x 6.25 in x 3.00 in (184 mm x 159 mm x 76 mm). The drawing shows 0.89 in pushbutton holes at a typical 2.25 in spacing, a 4.67 in x 6.12 in door opening, and an overall height of 8.25 in including the welded mounting brackets, with 0.25 in mounting holes on 7.75 in x 5.38 in centres.

The series is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 listed (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 for protection from dirt, dust, oil and water, provided appropriate components are used. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, weighs 5 lbs (2.27 kg) shipped, and comes boxed.
