Hammond 1435MB 2-Hole 22.5mm Type 12 Steel Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435MB is a two-hole Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosure for 22.5 mm pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. It measures 5.75 x 3.25 x 2.75 in (146 x 83 x 70 mm) and makes a tidy two-device station, such as a start/stop pair, that keeps dirt, dust, oil and water away from the operators.

The body is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. This size is not hinged: the cover is fastened by captive cover screws that thread into sealed wells, sealing on an oil resistant gasket with adhesive. A bonding stud sits on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.

Welded brackets provide for mounting. The part drawing shows an overall height of 6.75 in across the brackets, 0.25 in mounting holes on 6.25 in vertical and 2.38 in horizontal spacing, a 6.12 x 3.62 in door and 0.89 in diameter pushbutton holes.

Hammond's EU Declaration of Conformity for its operator enclosures, which lists the 1435 and 1435M series, declares conformity with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU under EN 60204-1: 2006 / IEC 60204-1: 2005-10 and IEC 60529: 2001-02 + A2: 2013-08, with additional RoHS declarations under 2011/65/EU and (EU) 2015/863.

The series is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 with appropriate components. The 1435MB (UL File E65324, CSA Cert. LR21001) is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 2 lbs (0.91 kg). For 30.5 mm operators the equivalent is 1435B.
