Hammond 1435O 12-Hole 30.5mm Type 12 Steel Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435O is a twelve-hole pushbutton enclosure for 30.5mm operators in the 1435 Series of Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosures. It is designed to accept standard heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights in the larger 30.5mm format, and suits electricians and machine builders standardised on 30.5mm devices who need a multi-function station.

The enclosure is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams. Cover and body are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. An internally hinged removable cover is designed to hold the cover open during wiring, captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the cover. A bonding stud is on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.

The 1435O measures 11.75 in x 8.50 in x 3.00 in (298 mm x 216 mm x 76 mm). Per the drawing, its pushbutton holes are 1.21 in diameter at a typical 2.25 in spacing, the door opening is 6.92 in x 10.62 in, and the welded mounting brackets carry 0.25 in holes on 12.25 in x 7.63 in centres, giving an overall height of 12.75 in.

The series is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54, protecting against dirt, dust, oil and water with appropriate components fitted. The 1435O is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 8 lbs (3.63 kg).
