Hammond 1435H 6-Hole 30.5mm Type 12 Steel Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435H is a six-hole Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosure for 30.5 mm heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. Measuring 9.5 x 6.25 x 3 in (241 x 159 x 76 mm), it groups six operators into one control station for machines and process lines where dirt, dust, oil and water are present.

The 1435H features an internally hinged removable cover designed to hold the cover open during wiring, which helps when terminating six devices. The enclosure is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, and the cover and body are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, sealing on an oil resistant gasket and adhesive. The door has a bonding stud and the enclosure a grounding stud.

Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. According to the part drawing, overall height across the brackets is 10.50 in, the 0.25 in mounting holes are spaced 10.00 in vertically and 5.38 in horizontally, the door is 9.87 x 6.62 in with an 8.37 x 4.67 in opening, and pushbutton holes are 1.21 in in diameter.

Hammond's EU Declaration of Conformity for its operator enclosures, which lists the 1435 and 1435M series, declares conformity with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU under EN 60204-1: 2006 / IEC 60204-1: 2005-10 and IEC 60529: 2001-02 + A2: 2013-08, with additional RoHS declarations under 2011/65/EU and (EU) 2015/863.

The series is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, complying with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 when appropriate components are installed. The 1435H is listed under UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships in a box at 5.25 lbs (2.38 kg). The 22.5 mm counterpart is 1435MH.
