Hammond 1435F 4-Hole 2x2 30.5mm Type 12 Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435F is a four-hole Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosure in a wider 7.25 x 6.25 x 3 in (184 x 159 x 76 mm) body, sized for 30.5 mm heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. The extra width and 3 in depth give more wiring room than the narrow four-hole 1435D while keeping operators protected from dirt, dust, oil and water.

As one of the larger 1435 enclosures, it has an internally hinged removable cover designed to hold the cover open during wiring. The body is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams, phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. Captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, the gasket is oil resistant with adhesive, and bonding and grounding studs are fitted to the door and enclosure.

Welded brackets provide for mounting. The part drawing gives an overall height of 8.25 in across the brackets, 0.25 in mounting holes on 7.75 in vertical and 5.38 in horizontal spacing, a 7.62 x 6.62 in door, a 6.12 x 4.67 in door opening, and 1.21 in diameter pushbutton holes.

The 1435 Series is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 when appropriate components are used. The 1435F is covered by UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships boxed at 5 lbs (2.27 kg). Its 22.5 mm counterpart is 1435MF.
