Hammond 1435C 3-Hole 30.5mm Type 12 Steel Pushbutton Enclosure

The 1435C is a three-hole Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosure for standard 30.5 mm heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. Its 8 x 3.25 x 2.75 in (203 x 83 x 70 mm) vertical format stacks three devices, such as start, stop and a run indicator, in a narrow station that shields them from dirt, dust, oil and water.

It is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams, then phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating on both cover and enclosure. This size is not hinged; captive cover screws thread into sealed wells and seat the cover on an oil resistant gasket and adhesive. The door carries a bonding stud and the enclosure a grounding stud.

Welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. From the part drawing: 9.00 in overall height across the brackets, 0.25 in mounting holes on 8.50 in vertical and 2.38 in horizontal spacing, an 8.37 x 3.62 in door with a 6.63 x 1.85 in door opening, and 1.21 in diameter pushbutton holes.

Hammond's EU Declaration of Conformity for its operator enclosures, which lists the 1435 and 1435M series, declares conformity with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU under EN 60204-1: 2006 / IEC 60204-1: 2005-10 and IEC 60529: 2001-02 + A2: 2013-08, with additional RoHS declarations under 2011/65/EU and (EU) 2015/863.

The series is UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54, with appropriate components required to maintain these ratings. The 1435C (UL File E65324, CSA Cert. LR21001) is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships boxed at 3.12 lbs (1.42 kg). Use 1435MC for 22.5 mm devices.
