The 1435D is a four-hole Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosure that holds 30.5 mm heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights in a single narrow column. At 10.25 x 3.25 x 2.75 in (260 x 83 x 70 mm) it is the tallest of the 3.25 in wide 1435 sizes, useful where panel space is narrow but four operators are needed, and it protects them from dirt, dust, oil and water.
The enclosure is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams. Cover and body are phosphatized and powder coated ANSI 61 gray. The cover is not hinged: captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket with adhesive seals the joint. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are provided for grounding.
Welded brackets provide for mounting. The part drawing shows an overall height of 11.25 in across the brackets, 0.25 in mounting holes spaced 10.75 in vertically and 2.38 in horizontally, a 10.62 x 3.62 in door, an 8.88 x 1.85 in door opening and 1.21 in diameter pushbutton holes.
