The 1435B is a two-hole Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosure sized for standard 30.5 mm heavy duty oil tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. Measuring 5.75 x 3.25 x 2.75 in (146 x 83 x 70 mm), it is a natural fit for a start/stop pair or a switch with an indicator, protecting the devices from dirt, dust, oil and water.
Construction is formed 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams. The cover and enclosure are phosphatized and powder coated in ANSI 61 gray. The cover is not hinged: captive cover screws thread into sealed wells and compress an oil resistant gasket applied with adhesive. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure.
Welded brackets provide for mounting. On the part drawing the overall height across the brackets is 6.75 in, with 0.25 in mounting holes spaced 6.25 in vertically and 2.38 in horizontally. The door measures 6.12 x 3.62 in and the pushbutton holes are 1.21 in in diameter.
Ratings for the 1435 Series are UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, with compliance to NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP54 when appropriate components are fitted. The 1435B is listed under UL File E65324 and CSA Cert. LR21001, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships in a box at 2.13 lbs (0.97 kg). The 22.5 mm counterpart is 1435MB.
