Hammond 1427NCGPG19B PG19 Black Nylon Liquid-Tight Cord Grip, IP68

The 1427NCGPG19B is a black nylon liquid-tight cordgrip with a PG19 thread, made for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need to seal a cable where it enters or leaves an enclosure. It clamps round cable from 12 mm (0.47 in) up to 15 mm (0.59 in) in diameter.

The body is nylon in black (RAL 9005) with an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal. Its strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, gripping the cable firmly without twisting or damaging the jacket. A nylon locknut and an EPDM o-ring come with the gland, so it is ready to install in a prepared hole.

Installation calls for a 24 mm (0.94 in) mounting hole. The gland has an outer length (L) of 30 mm (1.18 in) and an inner thread length (T) of 12 mm (0.47 in), the entry thread that passes through the enclosure wall. Hammond advises choosing the cordgrip with the smallest maximum diameter that will fit your cable, which makes the 12-15 mm range of this PG19 size the right pick for cables in that band.

The 1427NCG series is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 and provides IP68 protection. It carries a UL94 V-2 flammability rating, is UL listed, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Rated operating temperature is -40°C to 100°C in a static state (up to 120° instantaneous) and -20°C to 80°C in a dynamic state (up to 100° instantaneous).
