Hammond 1427NCGPG16LB 14 mm PG16 Extra-Long Black Nylon Cordgrip, 10

The 1427NCGPG16LB is the extra-long black PG16 nylon liquid-tight cordgrip, the largest size in the series' PG Threads (Extra Long) table. Its inner thread length (T) is 0.59 in (15 mm), up from 10 mm on the standard PG16, while the 10–14 mm cable range, 23 mm mounting hole and 28 mm outer length stay the same.

Black (RAL 9005) nylon forms the body, with an NBR (nitrile rubber) seal behind a large opening for a wide range of cable diameters. The strain relief elements tighten in a circular sequence on the sealing ring, providing strain relief without twisting or damaging the cable where it enters or leaves an enclosure. A nylon locknut and EPDM o-ring are included.

Installing the 1427NCGPG16LB takes a 0.91 in (23 mm) mounting hole. Outer length (L) is 1.10 in (28 mm) and wire diameter runs from 0.39 in (10 mm) to 0.55 in (14 mm). Guide torque for PG16 is 4–5 N-m on the sealing nut and 4–6 N-m on the locknut; actual values can vary depending on the application.

It provides IP68 protection and is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. It is UL listed with a UL94 V-2 flammability rating and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Operating temperatures are -40°C to 100°C static (up to 120° instantaneous) and -20°C to 80°C dynamic (up to 100° instantaneous). Shipping weight is 0.04 lbs (0.02 kg).
